Paint Correction
Swirl marks are thousands of shallow scratches in the clear coat, and they are what make dark paint look dull and hazy in direct sun. Correction machine-polishes them out instead of filling them in.
Wind-driven grit is abrasive. Every automatic car wash, every dry wipe, every wash mitt that picked up sand puts fine scratches into the clear coat. Around Lubbock and Slaton that happens faster than it does most places, and it shows up worst on black, navy and dark grey vehicles.
Multi-stage correction removes the large majority of swirls, light scratches and oxidation by carefully cutting and refining the clear coat. Deeper scratches that have gone through the paint can be improved but not always fully erased. You get an honest answer at the inspection, before any money changes hands, not after.
It starts at $175 and that includes a clay bar wash and a polish, not just the machine work. The compounds used are highly rated, and you pick the protection that goes on afterward, anywhere from a wax through to a full ceramic coating. Final price depends on the size of the vehicle.
Corrected paint with nothing on top starts collecting swirls again immediately. That is why correction is bundled into the Premium package with a sealant or coating on top, rather than sold as a shortcut on its own.
